MO

Music implementation walkthrough

MO was a collab project between the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and the students of Mills College Northeastern’s game design program. The Mills students created a vertical slice level of a 3D puzzle platformer in which the player uses elemental abilities to navigate a Chinese ink brush inspired landscape. The SFCM students were then tasked to become the audio team for this game’s production.

In this project I worked as composer as well as audio implementer. I wrote adaptive music featuring Chinese instruments to highlight the beautiful art style that the Mills students achieved. I also implemented all SFX and ambient audio assets which were created by other SFCM students.

This project was displayed on the exhibition floor at GDC 2025.
